Lennon, Beatles ... well there it is. Impossible to get over.
This video, which like so much of the music on your site, I haven't seen before. It gets right at the Magic that was John & the Beatles -- that hint of what could have been is heartbreaking, and that the other 3 would work on the song with the scratchy demo vocal speaks real well of them all I think. I pick up not one hint of exploitation and John would be touched, I am sure of it. What a kick-ass band they were.
I'm likewise fond of this here video, which treats Yoko with the respect I (personally) think she deserves & hints at what we lost by not knowing that this wonderful couple was alive and well and living off the coast of Ireland ...
Thanks for remembering John's B-day, Alex; my day is better for it.
